Miscellaneous
VIII: Profanity
A. What counts as profanity:
  • Swear words (even in other languages)
  • Swear words with less than four letters censored (examples: "b*%c#", "crap", "@ssh0le")
  • Racial slurs
  • Inappropriate phrases
  • Insults and mockery towards a person or group
All of the above are counted as profanity, so do not use them anywhere. If you do, you will receive a warning, and you will be banned if you persist.
~
B. What does not count:
  • Insults towards things (i.e. "I hate this game" is not counted as profanity)
  • Swear words with at least four letters censored (examples: "8a$#ar0", "%*@&", "@$$#0!3")
  • Euphemisms (i.e. darn is a euphemism)
IX: Legal Issues
A. Information:
You can read about legal issues and other topics that apply to all Wikifoundry sites in section 2 of Wikifoundry Central's Rules Page. All rules in that section also apply to this wiki.
~
X: Features
A. Please do not:
  • Add widgets to pages (including your profile) that have content that violates rules in sections 6A and 7A
  • Abuse the report button
  • PM someone with a message that violates rules in section 4A
  • Reply to a PM with a message that violates rules in section 4A
  • Taunt a member by giving them insincere compliments
If any of the above rules are violated, the offender will receive a warning. If the rule is violated for a second time, the offender will be banned.
~
XI: Moderation Issues
A. Don't be afraid of staff members:
Don't think that just because we are Moderators or Administrators, we don't have to follow the rules. Everyone who uses this wiki needs to follow these rules, especially Moderators and Administrators. If a staff member is breaking any rule on this page, tell an Administrator. We are here to help, not to intimidate.
~
B. Stop when told to stop:
  • Don't keep asking to be unbanned if you have been (its up to the community to decide when you can come back)
  • Don't continue to post things on someone else's profile if they ask you to stop
  • Don't come back with a different username if you have been banned
If you don't stop when you are told, you will be warned, and if you persist, banned (again).
~
C. No Pretending:
  • Don't attempt to PM warn someone if you aren't a staff member (you may thread warn people)
  • Don't create an account with a name similar to a staff member's and pretend to be one.
PM warning someone without being a staff member will result in a warning. If you keep doing it, you could be banned. If you pretend to be a staff member, you will be banned immediately.
~
XII: Warning System
A. What you shouldn't do:
  • Get a warning in the first place
  • Ignore the warning
  • Reply to a warning PM or thread with vulgar language
  • Reply to a warning PM or thread with a retort or threat to do it again
The first two in the list above are just advice. The other two, if violated, will result in an instant ban.
~
B. What you should do:
  • Reply with a sincere apology
  • Promise to not violate the rule again
  • Don't violate the rule again
If you do all three of the above suggestions, you will be forgiven.
~
If for some reason you do not agree with one of the rules above, go to the Administrative Action page and request a Site Rule to be changed. Make sure to clearly define which rule you want changed and what you want it to be changed to (except for the legal rules ,which we cannot change). If the staff agrees that you make a valid point, the rule will be changed. If your suggestion does not make a valid point, the rule will not be changed.
