Updated Races
MMRPG (potential) RacesNote when creating new races:
- Only experienced members may add races
- They probably won't be included in the current RPG, but maybe after a reset they will
- For the love of everything, PLEASE copy and paste the blank table before filling it out so there's at least one open space afterwards.
Humans | |
Description: The dominant species of Earth and the Astro Faction
Pros: Genetically diverse, adaptable, relatively good eyesight
Cons: Weak against chemical weapons and radiation, can't breathe in some atmospheres or in space.
Excelling Tech: Space-folding/warp (start out with lower tech but can research faster than Aliens. Boost from gaining Earth's full support?)
Notes: Have been evolving for thousands of years and adapt well.
by LEGO |
Aliens/Phobians | |
Description: An ancient radiovorous race that lived on Phobon until exiled to Mars after a mass genocide/Visser invasion
Pros: Fearless, thick skin, physical strength, require little air, get nourishment from solar radiation, natural sonar, cold resistant
Cons: Poor eyesight, no genetic diversity, susceptible to bio-weapons
Excelling Tech: Particle weaponry, cybernetics (start out more advanced than Astros but research slower than them. Boost from reclaiming Phobon)
Notes: 50% of the Alien population serves their hive and military, this has been the way of their culture since they've been on Mars.
by LEGO |
Vissers | |
Description: The population of several different factions that were once one.
Pros: Amazing eyesight, flight, good aim, some chemical resistance, can create electricity, learn quickly
Cons: Crushed in strong gravity, can't breathe in thin atmosphere, weak to radiation.
Excelling Tech: Computers/communications
Notes: Analysis shows that they could undergo some kind of metamorphosis, this has yet to be confirmed.
by Roland447? (Introduced in a transmission, believed to be accepted by LEGO as canon. Accepted by community as official canon. See the mars transmission archive on the site for more info.) |
Nyu | |
Description: The primitive-but-innocently-curious/mischievous population of Trin'Ackisti
Pros: Heightened Telekinetic Potential, good senses, trained to use the surroundings to great advantage while hunting, learn quickly
Cons: Commonly over-curious and require supervision when around electricity, Telekinesis has limited range depending on user (3-to-25 meters), Telekinesis often requires sensory input, prefer not to kill those believed to be sentient/intelligent beings such as Humans or other Nyu, more prone to hold grudges against non-Nyu
Excelling Tech: Telekinesis and later on; electromagnets (they haven't exactly invented plastic yet though)
Notes: The primary weak-point on a Nyu is their (blunted) Horns--destroy or damage that and they become highly vulnerable or comatose. Diplomatic Note: Caters consider the Nyu a threat to their Empire and TSM would like some skilled Telekinetists on their side. They also make decent scapegoats for technological malfunctions which have occurred inside your fleet as a result of solar flares and/or inept captains or pilots.

Caters | |
Description: The catlike population of the Cater Empire
Pros: Physical strength, speed, natural weapons, reaction time/perception/coordination, heat resistant
Cons: Corrupted genetic structure, sadomasochists, can be emotionally manipulated, don't perform well on gas planets
Excelling Tech: Weapons capable of severely harming areas of a planet (W.M.D.s)
Notes: Mutated by centuries of Nuclear War and UV Radiation. Most of their weapons and vehicles are fitted for their cat-like physique. Their Homeworld is easy to land on but hard for anything biological to invade/capture.

Voidwalkers | |
Description: A dark, mysterious, feared race from the void dimension. Currently living on X-1999
Pros: Can sense fear, sight in total darkness, doesn't need air to breathe, create their own metal called Voidsteel, multiple metamorphic stages, upon killing a player with corruption they gain a one-time 'copy' of the player as a Voidwalker.
Cons: Outright killed by extremely bright light, anything biological which it directly touches is corrupted, 10% chance of corrupting anything it's magic touches, can't reproduce/train normally--must instead absorb large quantities of any energy to 'birth' a new one.
Excelling Tech: Antimatter tech, Dark magic
Notes: There is a theory that they get their power from the void, but they can't go back there. The Nyu seem to dislike them and it would seem that anything cat-like can sense them nearby.
by Comander7 |
Ionte'Ner | |
Description: The religious populace of Ionix'Tia
Pros: resistant to energy surges and magic residue, very few terrorists, can breathe in thick atmospheres like in gas planets, cold resistant
Cons: weak physical strength, poor medical procedures, can't breathe in thin atmospheres, slowed in low gravity.
Excelling Tech: Psionics, Technomancy
Notes: A lot of other races have trouble understanding the motives of their culture.
by Comander7 |
Halleyans | |
Description: The Plasma-based population living on Halley's comet
Pros: breathe in space, fed by their own internal fusion, composed of plasma, explode upon death, handle all gravity types
Cons: poor senses, bad at engineering other races' technology, wither away if their nuclear fusion ceases somehow
Excelling Tech: Plasma, Nuclear fusion energy
Notes: They communicate by changing color in a Morse code-ish pattern.
by Redsnapper39 (named by Comander7) |
Donvizo | |
Description: Multiple races that have interbred for centuries leading to hundreds of different species combinations
Pros: Tons of genetic diversity, disease can't pass between different breeds, highly intelligent, can breathe thin atmospheres
Cons: Can't breathe medium or thick atmospheres or space, short attention spans and racism between breeds leads to being easily distracted in long tasks.
Excelling Tech: Air superiority, Armor
Notes: They have an annual olympics-ish event in which each breed gets a team.
by Redsnapper39 |
Hus'Karans | |
Description: A hive-minded race swarming on Awalon
Pros: Reproduce and grow quickly, instant philotic communication from any distance, natural armor, heat resistance, breathe any atmosphere except space
Cons: an entire squad can be destroyed by killing its leader, Vision impaired in direct sunlight, can't swim
Excelling Tech: Neutron Technology, Mining
Notes: Want to research telepathy or high-speed intergalactic networking? These hive-minds are your key.
by Redsnapper39 |

by Redsnapper39 |

Pros: Highly Skilled and Efficient Workers, many have Connections with various High-Ranking officers of the Visser and Cater Militaries.
Cons: Generally discriminated against by Caters and commonly pushed around by other empires, Has no dedicated military
Excelling Tech: Language which is near-impossible to translate or learn, Brilliance to build massive structures
Notes: They are a Satellite Empire (aka Vassal State) of the Cater Empire, used as scapegoats by the Cater Empire and occasionally attacked by Raiders.
by Comander7 |
Skar | |
Description: An odd race. They are neutral, peaceful, and do not care about the world around them.
Pros: Extremely hard to kill off, somehow always manage to beat back invasions. Their tech level always seem to match the observer's. Rely on Magical Aura to live, need nothing else.
Cons: Surprisingly religious, they worship Shaadr. They rely on magic, but can't use it themselves. Cannot survive being cut off from magical aura.
Excelling Tech: None, but they are always as strong as whoever is fighting them. Planet has possible artifacts and a strange magically atuned material though.
Notes: The Official Race Discussion Thread has more info, but it contains SPOILERS. Most traits/the real stuff that is going on are supposed to be discovered in-game.
by DracoSupreme. |
TOBORS | |
Description: A race of humanoid hating machines. They were created by another race of humanoids which no longer exists. They come from Domain 0, a far away planet that is now completely covered with miles of Machinery. All they do is find a Planet with no sentient/intelligent life, collect all of its resources, then colonize it and move on. But if they find any humanoid life, They are very eager to start a war!
Pros: Each Tobor is linked to a Web. A large network which they communicate. Tobors are lead by a Web controller. Controllers are advanced Tobors that can form plans and coordinate attack patterns. Controllers are lead by Prime Controllers. Higher and better versions.
Cons: Easy to hack, Weak to EMP, can disoriented if the Controller is destroyed or link is severed.
Excelling Tech: Tobors usually come from large mobile structures called "Stars". Stars are basically hovering mass production complex.
Notes: NPC RACE, They are very good at building and utilizing technology and even organic components, Controllers are usually with their forces and taking out the Controller disorients the entire attack force making them not respond until one of the Tobors becomes a new Controller.
by Cman1O1Dalek (formally Cman the Dalek) |
An unknown cat-like race with technology almost certainly based on that of the Phobians
Description: This race seeks Total Martian Domination
Pros: seemingly limitless resources, members of species have all the biological adaptations of cats...making them quite skilled and extremely deadly
Cons: as the old saying goes, "curiosity killed the cat"
Excelling Tech: Not only have mastered the use of other energy crystal variants besides green, but have ways of synthesizing them in mass quantities; warships not easily rivaled by that of any other race;
Notes: NPC RACE, other intel presently unknown
